GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Robert A. “Bobby” Gurtner, 52, Greenville, died at 1:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021, in UPMC Hamot in Erie, due to an extended illness.
He was born June 16, 1968, in Sharon, to Barbara (Crosthwaite) Gurtner and Robert Gurtner.
He graduated from Reynolds High School in 1986.
Bobby worked at Sharon Steel Corporation as a laborer for ten years and then he volunteered at the Good Shepherd Center in Greenville.
His hobbies included coin collecting and he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.
He is survived by his sisters, Pamela Gilmour and her husband, Charlie, of Richmond, Texas and Mary Gurtner of Greenville and many cousins.
His parents preceded him in death.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 19, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m.
