HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Mrs. Mary Louise Miller DeVenney went to be with her Heavenly Father at 8:49 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2020 at Garden Way Place in Hermitage.

Mrs. DeVenney was born on December 13, 1935, in Sharon. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Anna Huck Miller.

She graduated from Sharon High School in 1953. During her high school years, Mrs. DeVenney was a majorette in the Sharon High School Marching Band.

Mrs. DeVenney was a faithful and active member of Hickory United Methodist Church. She served on the Bereavement Committee and the Nursing Home Committee.

Mrs. DeVenney volunteered with a local hospice agency where she spent many hours calling grieving families and offering comfort. She also sat with patients who were receiving hospice care.

Mrs. DeVenney leaves behind her son, Marc DeVenney (Hope) of Starkville, Mississippi; her son, David DeVenney (Paula) of Greenville; her grandchildren, David DeVenney, Jr. (Michael Harbison) of Philadelphia, Adam DeVenney (Katie) of Union, Mississippi, Andrew DeVenney (Tricia Memije) of Pittsburgh and Rachel Thomas Bell (Tony) of Pittsburgh and her sisters-in-law, Colleen Radish and Kathleen DeVenney, both of Hermitage.

Mrs. DeVenney was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony L. DeVenney; her infant daughter, Laurie Ann and her brothers, Fred, Walter and Gordon Miller.

Memorials may be made to Sharon Regional Home Hospice Care, 1955 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, PA 16148.

Arrangements are being handled by John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.

A television tribute will air Thursday, July 30, at the following approximate times: 7:10 a.m. on FOX, 12:22 p.m. on WKBN, 5:08 p.m. on MyYTV and 7:27 p.m. on WYTV.
