HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Kim Louise Stephey Pifer, age 65, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at her residence due to a short illness.
Born October 28, 1954 in Munich, Germany she was the daughter of the late Donald L. and Jo Ann Bennett Stephey.
She was currently employed for many years at Dr. Chander Kohli’s office in Youngstown, Ohio, where she worked in medical billing.
She was a member of Grace Chapel Church in Hermitage.
Kim was a member of the “Mercer County Rocks”, where she was gifted in painting rocks with pictures and inspirational messages and leaving them in special places around the local area. She enjoyed painting and the outdoors where she loved bird watching, gardening and growing flowers.
She is survived by her loving husband, Harland “Punk” Pifer, whom she married December 13, 1975; her children, Brook (Mat Graver) Pifer of New York City and Brian (Sarah) Pifer of Sharpsville; grandchildren, Jacob, Rachael and Abram Pifer; her siblings, Kip (Debbie) Stephey of Tampa, Kye (Monica) Stephey of Madison, Ohio and Kam Stephey of Tampa; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Hall of Burghill, Ohio and Patti Spargs of Greenville and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 9, 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Hermitage.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.
Entombment will follow at the America’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
A television tribute will air Wednesday, January 8, at the following approximate times: 12:25 p.m. WKBN, 6:35 p.m. on MyYTV and 10:37 p.m. FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
