HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – John W. Havrilla, of Hermitage, died at 10:26 a.m. Monday, December 2, in Allegheny General Hospital after a brief illness. He was 74.
John was born January 18, 1945, in Sharon, a son of Francis Havrilla and Anna (Kisegy) Havrilla.
He was an elementary teacher for Hermitage School District for 38 years.
John was an avid hunter and fly fisherman who loved spending time with his granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife, Judy (Olshavsky) Havrilla, at home; son, John-Michael Havrilla and his wife, Cassie, of Northfield Center, Ohio; sister, Kathleen Devenney of Hermitage; brother, Robert Havrilla and his wife, Pattie, of Newark, New York; two granddaughters, Sophia and Michaela Havrilla and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 7, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Hermitage.
Funeral service will be Saturday, December 7 at the funeral home chapel following visitation at 12:30 p.m.
A television tribute will air Wednesday, December 4 at the following approximate times: 12:25 p.m. WKBN, 6:35 p.m. on MyYTV and 10:37 p.m. FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
