HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – James Heasley, 76, of West Middlesex, passed away on Saturday, July 25 in UPMC Passavant after a brief illness.

Born on January 6, 1944 in Warren, Ohio, he was the son of the late Evert and Alice (Lutton) Heasley.

James was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.

He was employed as a truck driver for Koppey’s Moving Company for 30 years.

James was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving from 1961-1967 in the Vietnam War.

His hobbies included listening to classical and country music, watching old movies, fishing and most of all, spending time with his granddaughters.

James is survived by his daughters, Vesta Weiser and her husband, Gary, of West Middlesex, Jaime Campbell and her husband, Robert, of Mercer and Cheryl Shafer, of South Dakota; his sons, Jim McDonough and his wife, Shanda, of Washington, Jason McDonough and his wife, Lisa, of Washington and Jeff McDonough and his wife, Judy, of Florida; his sister, Judy Cameron of Florida; his brothers, Kenny Heasley of Niles, Ohio, Robert Heasley of Warren, Ohio and William Heasley and his wife, Judy, of Florida; his grandchildren, Michelle Smith and her husband, Brian, Danielle Weiser, Erin Weiser, William Jones, Terra Nevel, Michael Nevel, Kelsey, Stephan, Stephanie, Ashley, Garrett and Anakin and his great-grandchildren, Karen and Damon.

Along with his wife, Karen Heasley, whom he married December 19, 1971 and who passed away November 25, 2010, James is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Donna Makowski.

Arrangements are being handled by John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.

A television tribute will air Wednesday, July 29, at the following approximate times: 7:10 a.m. on FOX, 12:22 p.m. on WKBN, 5:08 p.m. on MyYTV and 7:27 p.m. on WYTV.
