AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Burdell Ira “Butch” “Burdy” Hetrick, Jr., 60, of Austintown, Ohio, formerly of Farrell, passed away at 8:10 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021, at Louis Stokes VA Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio, after a brief illness.
He was born on January 30, 1961, in Sharon, to Rita (Tamber) Hetrick-Brown of Hermitage and Burdell Ira Hetrick, Sr.
He graduated from Kennedy Catholic in 1980 and then from New Castle School of Trades in 1992.
Butch was a driver for Provider Ride of Cleveland.
He was a member of St. Christine Roman Catholic Church, Youngstown, Ohio.
He served in the Air Force
He belonged to the Knights of Columbus.
Butch was an avid Ohio State Fan. He was a baseball umpire for many years in New Jersey and Ohio.
He is survived by sister, Bernie Hetrick of Hermitage; niece, Alyssa Ricciardi and her husband, Matthew; uncle and aunt, Ron and Madge Tamber and aunt, Jean Hetrick.
He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Joseph and Margaret Tamber and Peg Hetrick Godina and uncles, Tony Tamber and Stanley Hetrick.
