HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Betty J. Moore, 73, of Sharpsville, passed away at 12:38 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Sharon Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Betty was born on May 24, 1947, in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late Inez (Thompson) and Timothy Martin.
She graduated from Farrell High School in 1965.
Betty was employed at John XXIII Home as a nurse’s aide for 25 years.
She was a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church in Farrell.
She enjoyed listening to music, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Betty married her husband, Emanuel Moore, Sr., on June 14, 1971 and he survives at home. Also surviving are a son, Emanuel Moore, Jr. of Farrell; stepchildren, Terrence Crumby of Farrell and Louise Gooded of Florida and five grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Brittany Moore and a sister, Catherine Saunders.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 18, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Community Missionary Baptist Church, 1013 Emerson Avenue, Farrell. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Troy D. Hunter officiating.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is asking to please limit the crowd to only family and very close friends.
Burial will be in Morefield Cemetery.
