LISBON, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Jerry L. Mimna, 68, went to be with his Savior after a short battle with cancer, on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
Jerry was born September 14, 1950 in Youngstown a son of the late, Charles and Mary Williams Mimna.
Jerry lived by his three favorite words FAITH, FAMILY AND FUN! He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He attended the Highway Tabernacle in Austintown.
Jerry had served in the Air Force Reserves, retired from Ohio Edison as a lineman and worked hard everyday providing for his family by running the farm that he so passionately loved.
Jerry is survived by his wife, the former, Cheryl Lynn Egolf, whom he married September 29, 1973. Together they raised four children: a son, Joshua Lee (Michelle) Mimna of Columbus and three daughters, Megan E. Bennett of Lisbon, Molly (Zac) Jones of Negley and Heather (BJ) Kaskalavich of Lisbon. He is also survived by a brother, Ronald (Karen) Mimna and niece, Alexis and will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Joey and Dustin Bennett, Savannah, Weston, Charlotte and Lane Jones and Ava Mimna whom he loved teaching new ideas.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Bull officiating.
