Janet G. Neuberger, 85, resident of Grace Woods Senior Living in Salem, formerly of Youngstown, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 17, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. 

She was born September 14, 1932 in Youngstown, a daughter of Howard Seabrooks and Grace (Zimmerman) Seabrooks Smith.

Janet was a 1950 graduate of Poland Seminary High School and she attended Bowling Green State University, studying retail for two years.

She was employed in production for the former Packard Electric Corporation in Warren for 12 years, retiring in 1988. 

She is survived by four sons, Chris H. (Grace) Neuberger of Cortland, Ken S. Neuberger of Columbiana, Mark D. Neuberger of Youngstown and David S. Neuberger of Columbus; a sister, Madge (Larry) Leedy of Struthers; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. 

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Don E. Neuberger and a daughter-in-law, Carol (Gbur) Neuberger.

In keeping with the family’s wishes there will be no funeral services or calling hours.

Janet’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth’s Neuro Center ICU for the kind and compassionate care showed to her. They would also like to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staffs of Easter Seals Adult Day Care in Boardman and Grace Woods Senior Living, for making her last year of life a happy and meaningful one.
