EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Jane L. Davis, 82, a lifelong resident of East Palestine, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Covington Community Campus.
She was born May 2, 1936 in Salem, Ohio, daughter of the late Lawrence Foster and Esther Dishong.
Jane attended East Palestine Schools.
She was a member of the First Church of Christ in East Palestine.
Jane worked as a bus driver for East Palestine Schools prior to her retirement.
She loved sewing, reading, roller skating in her younger years, family gatherings and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
She is survived by a son, Darryl R. (Diana) Davis of Moon Township, Pennsylvania; five daughters, Carolyn L. Davis of Columbiana, Barbara J. Davis, Alicia Gayle (Carl) Biser, Linda M. (Tim) Mengel, all of East Palestine and Laura K. (Tommy) Zeh of Winter Garden, Florida as well as, ten grandchildren, Marnie Pacheco, Jamie Coder, Carrie Sampson, Wayne Biser, Matt Biser, David Parks, Nicole Oxley, Kimberly Mengel, Dylan Zeh and Marley Zeh and 17 great-grandchildren.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Davis, one year ago and a sister, Florence Mae Rogers.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, April 9, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine.
A funeral will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, April 10 at 11:00 a.m., with Robert J. Helbeck officiating.
A private interment will take place at a later date at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.

A television tribute will air Monday, April 8 at the following approximate times: 6:41 a.m. WYTV and 8:41 a.m. MyYTV and 9:58 a.m. on FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
