SALEM, Ohio – James Stewart Joy, 73, of Salem, died on Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home
He was born on May 20, 1944 in Salem, Ohio, son of the late Harold and Beatrice (Needham) Joy.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cathy Joy; his children, Roberta (Paul) Knopp of Damascus, Jenny (Jason) Clark of Pickerington, James Joy of Wasilla, Arkansas and Michael (Cenecia) Moore, Jr. of Salem; 14 grandchildren and sisters, Linda Havelock-Joy, Nancy Morgan and Terri Beckman.
He was a member of the Salem First Friends Church.
George was a U.S. Army Veteran and formerly worked at NRM for 17 years until retirement.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
