HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – William F. Menz, Jr., 84 of Hermitage passed away Saturday morning, January 8, 2023, in Saint John XXIII Home.

Bill was born June 25, 1938, in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late William F. Menz, Sr. and Theresa (Dellinger) Menz.

He was a 1955 graduate of Niles-McKinley High School, Niles, Ohio. Bill earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Youngstown State University. 

A proud veteran,  Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corps and honorable served in the Siege of Beirut.

Following college, Bill was hired by General Motors Corporation and worked as a specifications engineer at their Lordstown, Ohio plant for 12 years. Later, Bill owned and operated Sharon Floral Shop for over 50 years.  

A Free and Accepted Mason, Bill was a member of Lodge #279, Niles, Ohio and was also an amateur HAM radio operator.

His wife, the former Mary Jude Hull whom he married January 2, 1978, preceded him in death November 16, 2014. 

Per Bill’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. 

Internment will be in Vienna Township Cemetery, Vienna, Ohio.
