SHARON, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Keith E. Koch, 63 of Sharon, passed away suddenly Monday morning, May 15, 2023, in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Medical Center.
Keith was born on December 9, 1959, in Sharon, a son of Rudolph “Rudy” and Nancy (White) Koch.
He was a 1978 graduate of Sharon High School where he participated on the wrestling and track and field teams.
He was employed for more than 20 years at the former Flower Lumber in Sharon.
Keith was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 103, Sharon.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and especially fishing. He cherished days on Lake Erie walleye fishing with his good friend, Chuck Farley. Additionally, he and Chuck co-owned the company, “Fish Fear Us” which sold fishing supplies and how-to videos online and at outdoor expos.
His wife, the former Carol Dach, whom he married on February 28, 1987, survives at home. They took many beach vacations together and joined friends to several Caribbean destinations.
He is survived by his wife at home; his parents of Sharon; two beloved dogs, Ranger and Stella; a sister, Lisa Kimpan of Greenville, Pennsylvania; a brother, Mark Koch of Farrell; many nieces and nephews and his best friend, Brett Lapcevich of Sharon.
Keith was preceded in death by his cherished dogs, Codi, Jake and Brandi.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Shenango Valley Animal Shelter, 2599 Broadway Road, Hermitage, PA, 16148.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023, inJ. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State Street, Sharon, with Rev. Glenn Whitman, officiating.
