SHARPSVILLE, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Anthony T. Stroma, Sr., 90 of Sharpsville, passed away Friday afternoon, October 13, 2023, in his residence.

Mr. Stroma was born November 29, 1932, in Farrell, a son of the late Enrico and Marie (Persuetti) Stroma.  

He was a 1951 graduate of Farrell High School.  

After school, he enlisted in the U.S Army, serving during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954.  

Anthony returned home to start his career as a county appraiser. Later he became the Owner/Operator of the former Sharpsville Pennzoil gas station on Walnut Street in Sharpsville. 

Anthony enjoyed fishing at the Shenango Dam and traveling to casinos, especially Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort, New Cumberland, West Virginia. He also enjoyed working on cars and took great pride in his 1957 Chevy. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  

Anthony is survived by two sons, Anthony Stroma, Jr. (Juli) of Anaheim, California and Dondi Stroma of Richmond, Virginia; a daughter, Shana Massaux (Marc) of Melbourne, Florida; two grandsons, Anthony Stroma III and Sean Stroma; five great-grandchildren, Anthony IV, Benjamin, Caleb, Paisley and Charlotte and former wife, Karen Stroma.

Besides his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his preschooler son, Rico Stroma; his former wives, Rosemary Stroma and Rosalie Stroma; two sisters, Jean Bonaquist and Fran Kowalski and a brother, Joseph Stroma

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 25 at St. Anthony’s Cemetery Chapel, 2300 Longview Road, Hermitage, with Rev. Stanley Swacha, as celebrant. Military honors will be rendered immediately following by the Wheatland A.L., Farrell and West Middlesex VFW Honor Guard.
