Ivan Swick, also known as Michael Chamberlain, 86, of Niles, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Autumn Hill Care Center.
He was born July 5, 1932 in Cortland, the son of Lester and Edna (Drake) Swick and had lived in the area all his life.
A graduate of Kinsman High School, Ivan retired from the Hartford Schools as a custodian. Before that, he had worked for Glauber Brass and Kraft Creamery in Kinsman and for the State of Ohio.
He attended Central Christian Church and was very fond of birds, animals, and all nature. He also enjoyed board games, watching sports on television, listening to the radio, reading his Bible and keeping his diary.
He is sadly missed by his sister, Leona Fisher, and her companion Roy Reeves; and by many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Services are 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.
Friends may call 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, at the funeral home prior to services.
Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cortland.
