Services will be 12:00 Noon on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Mr. Herbert Womack, Jr., 67, of Youngstown, who departed this life on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Northside Medical Center.
Mr. Womack, lovingly known as “Bo,” was born November 1, 1950, in Youngstown, a son of Herbert, Sr. and Rita Manning Womack.
He was a 1969 graduate of East High School.
“Bo” had worked at LTV Steel – Republic Works and Baker’s and Lustig’s Shoe Stores. He most recently had worked as a chef at the Mahoning County Job and Family Services for ten years.
As a young man, “Bo” was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and presently attended Fifth Avenue Community Church.
He enjoyed cooking, dancing, music, western movies and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He was a United States Army veteran.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Rita of Youngstown; three children, André Morgan, Yuvonka McKinney and Tracey Adams, all of Youngstown; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; his devoted companion of 50 years, Janet Salter and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Annie Womack and two brothers, Gary and Claude Womack.
