There will be services at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9 at Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel for Grace L. McDougal, 67, who passed away Sunday afternoon, June 3 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

She was born April 5, 1951 in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert C. and Lillian G. Dodge Best.

Grace was a 1969 graduate of Jackson-Milton High School.

She was a homemaker and had previously been employed with both Tamco and Kaufmann’s warehouses. She had also been a dispatcher with the Jackson Township Fire Department.

Grace was a member of Lordstown Christian Church.

She was also a member of the Craig Beach Ladies Fire Auxiliary and the Jackson Township Ladies Fire Auxiliary, where she was a past secretary.

She loved caring for her grandchildren and enjoyed all types of crafts and excelled at baking cakes.

Grace is survived by her husband of 34 years, Michael A. McDougal, whom she married July 7, 1984; her sons, James Michael (Denise) Gordon of Van Nuys, California and Brian Andrew Gordon of North Jackson; her sisters, Patricia Adair-Franks of Newton Falls and Barbara C. (Fred) McKenzie of North Ft. Myers, Florida; her grandchildren, Parker, Mia, Elle, Brian James and Alayna; her nieces and nephews, Rebecca Swift, Russell J. Adair, Jr., Tera L. McKenzie and Tami McKenzie-Hubbard; her mother-in-law, Lucille McDougal and her sisters-in-law, Terri McDougal, Brenda McDougal and Kerry Rafferty.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert M. Best; her nephew, Todd McKenzie and her father-in-law, Wayne McDougal.

Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 8 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel and 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the funeral home to help defray final expenses or share an act of kindness in Grace’s memory.

A television tribute will air Wednesday, June 6 at the following approximate times: 6:41 a.m. WYTV and 8:41 a.m. MyYTV and 9:58 a.m. on FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
