BELOIT, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – William J. Sanford, 72 of Beloit, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Aultman Alliance Hospital.
William was born on October 3, 1948 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Henry and Anita (Sacconi) Sanford.
William was an avid card player, enjoyed to bowl and play horseshoes where he won a championship in horseshoes. He built the home where he and Carolyn raised their children and could just about build or fix anything. William had a passion for family and his pride and joy was their children, he loved them so much.
William is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carolyn (Goodwin) Sanford, who he married January 27, 1968; children, Lisa (Marvin) Frederick, Brian (Kristi) Sanford and Lori (Keith) Groscost; two brothers, Henry Sanford and Gary Sanford; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, William was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Lewis Sanford and a brother, Dave Sanford.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Glen Davidson officiating. Friends and family will be received the hour prior to service from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
