SALEM, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Mary E. (Carlisle) Geist, 92, of Salem, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

Mary was born November 20, 1929 in Lisbon, Ohio to the late James and Mildred (Dotson) Carlisle.

Mary attended Calvary Baptist Church.

She was a member of the Salem Amvets and the Salem Slovack Club.

In her free time Mary enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends. 

Mary is survived by her children, Ron (Connie) Geist of Salem, Holly (Ed) Evans of Salem and Lynn (David) Nihart of Salem; a brother, Leeland Carlisle; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Geist; a son, Richard Geist; daughter, Diane Brown; granddaughter, Jamie Evans and several brothers and sisters. 

A private family service was held and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. T
