SEBRING, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Joyce Kay (Hoyle) Courtney, 85, of Sebring passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
She was born in Alliance, Ohio on August 23, 1937 the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lucy (Andrew) Hoyle.
During her lifetime she enjoyed being with and helping the public; whether through babysitting, working at the grocery store, being a waitress or at the dry cleaners, however, she loved to bake and cook dinners for friends and family putting those skills to work by helping to organize breakfast fundraisers to benefit local children at Christmas while she lived at the Sebring Villa Apartments from 2009 to 2023.
Survivors include her son, Lloyd Dean (Tammy) Courtney; grandchildren, Ryan Dean (Louanna) Courtney and Nicole Marie (Matthew) Pastier; great-grandchildren, Seth Ryan Dean Courtney, Maverick Anderson Courtney, Steven Robert Stinson, Gabriella Rose Pastier and Gavin Alexander Pastier; a brother, Merle (Barb) Hoyle and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Blake in 2009, Roland Hoyle in 2014 and Gordon Hoyle in 2020.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Highland Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m.
