SEBRING, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Ivan Ford Hoyle, 91, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
Ivan was born to Charles and Grace Burkey Hoyle on May 7, 1931.
He and his wife, Barbara Bedell Hoyle, were blessed with 68 years of marriage before she passed March 2, 2020.
He is survived by sons, William (Linda), Robert (Lidia) and Richard (Pam); daughters, Jane (Mark) and Louise (Robert); sister, Veva Siegel; brothers-in-law, William (Sharon) Bedell and David (Rose) Bedell; uncle-in-law, Tom Cope; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Ivan was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, Virgil and grandson, Charles Hoyle.
Ivan believed in generous service to family, church and community. He was a caring, loving and kind person.
He was a man of faith and served the Berlin Center United Methodist Church throughout his life.
He was a Township Trustee for Berlin Township for 25 years and co-founded the Berlin Center Historical Society.
Ivan retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years as a mechanical engineer. He maintained a deep interest and love of farming and when asked what he had done for a living, he usually answered that he was a farmer.
Private graveside service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Copeland Oaks Foundation (Life Care Fund) are welcome.
