BELOIT, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Daren L. Schaefer, of Beloit, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 24, 2021.

He was born in Alliance, Ohio, on October 22, 1971, to Ted L. and Joan (Malmsberry) Schaefer.

Daren was a self-employed welder, often called upon to do a lot more than welding for many people. He served as Beloit Fire Chief for four years and was also a member of Damascus Volunteer Fire Department.

Daren enjoyed telling stories, history and being around friends.

Survivors include his mother, Joan; wife, Carol A. (Wyss) Schaefer; daughter, Shiann Rose Schaefer and stepson, Alex P. Bruderly. He is also survived by his brother, Kevin D. Schaefer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ted.

A time of gathering of friends and family will take place at “the Shop”, 17915 Mill Street, Beloit, on Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
