SEBRING, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Brenda M. Sweely, 72 of Sebring passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
She was born in Chelyan, West Virginia on September 10, 1948, the daughter of the late Shirley and Coleen (Gilliland) Igo.
Brenda was a graduate of Western Reserve High School.
She worked at General Motors.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. One of her favorite things was always looking forward to the holidays so that she could prepare for the arrival of her family and cooking for them all.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Lawrence E. Sweely whom she married on June 12, 1966 in Alliance, Ohio; her two children, Tammy Sweely and Michael (Valerie) Sweely; three grandchildren, Zachary Leasure, Jacob Leasure and Bryce Sweely; five great-grandchildren, Holden, Deagan, Ryot, Revel and Archer Leasure and six siblings, Arlene Rupnick, Shirleen Wheeler, Shirley Igo, Jr., Philip Igo, Sr., Dwayne Igo and John Stroup.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 in the Chapel of Highland Memorial Park in Beloit at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
