YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17 at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, at 2944 Wardel Avenue 44505, for Mr. James Fuller, 82, of Youngstown, departed this life on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Fuller also known as Rev. Fuller was born September 7, 1936, in Mulga, Alabama, a son of Robert and Evanna Porter Fuller.

James was a former Prize Fighter, was a steelworker for LTV Steel, trained and worked as a certified Master Baker. He was also a licensed ordained minister by the late Pastor Wilson of St. Peters Baptist Church and a security guard where for a time was one of the oldest Ohioans licensed to carry a firearm to name a few of his many skills and accomplishments.

James was a proud member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

He leaves his wife of 40 years; Mary (Robinson) Fuller; son, Jeffery (Mae) Fuller; granddaughter, Ashley Simon and grandson, Jeffrey Fuller the 2nd, Jammie Ferrell; great-grandchildren, Nala Goncalves, Jacey Ferrell and JaeVeion Fuller; siblings, Mary Chamber, Mattie (Roy) Powell, Eva McNickles and Paul (Sharon) Fuller family, church family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert, John, George, Obie and stepson, Raymond Robinson.

Friends may call from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17 at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

A television tribute will air Tuesday, May 14 at the following approximate times: 6:41 a.m. WYTV and 8:41 a.m. MyYTV and 9:58 a.m. on FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
