Eric C. Evans, 48, of South Washington Street, passed away Tuesday evening, January 15, 2019 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Eric was born January 10, 1971 in Rochester, Pennsylvania, a son of Alma Greiner Evans and the late Charles L. Evans and had been a longtime resident of East Palestine.

He was raised in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania where he had graduated Blackhawk High School in 1989.

He was employed as a caregiver with Threshold Residential Services of East Palestine.

Eric enjoyed camping, fishing and had been a lifelong Steelers fan and attended Bible study at the Way Station in Columbiana.

Besides his mother, Alma Evans of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, he is survived by his wife, Michelle (Heffner) Evans. He is also survived by a son, Keith Shupp and a daughter, Linsey Evans, both of East Palestine; a sister, Valerie Kairis and his nephew, Noah Kairis; as well as several other nieces, nephews and extended family.

A memorial dinner will be held Friday, January 18, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Community Room in the offices of the Meadowview Apartments, 66 South Washington Street, East Palestine, Ohio.

Arrangements are with the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home, East Palestine.

A television tribute will air Friday, January 18 at the following approximate times: 12:25 p.m. WKBN, 6:58 p.m. on MyYTV and 10:37 p.m. FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
