WARREN, Ohio – Dorothy M. Dilley, 91, of Warren, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born May 16, 1926, in Norfolk, England a daughter of Frederick John and Alice Maude (Ward) Gedge.

Dorothy spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.

She married Clayton E. Dilley on October 9, 1944 in New Buckingham, England. They shared 39 years of marriage and many happy memories together until his passing December 4, 1984.

Dorothy is survived by three sons, Huston H. (Patricia) Dilley, of Florida, Charles E. Dilley, of Austin, Texas and Michael (Frances) Dilley, of Warren; three daughters, Bonnie (David) Mitchell, of Warren, Brenda (Harlan Mollohan) Dilley, of Sunrise Beach, Texas and Cheryl A. Douglas, of Warren. She also leaves behind a stepdaughter, Lila Dilley, of Warren; a sister, Joan Fenton, of Newport, Pennsylvania; a daughter-in-law, Karen Dilley; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and her beloved cat, Furball.

Besides her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by three sons, Mark A., Clayton, Jr. and Terry L. Dilley and her companion of 20 years, Frederick Castle.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 North Park Avenue, Warren, with Pastor Bill Kovarik officiating.

Friends may call 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, at the funeral home.

Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that material contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, in her memory.
