HERMITAGE, PA (MyValleyTributes) – Donna J. Beckwith, of Jefferson Township, passed away at 2:42 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019, in her residence after an extended illness. She was 69.
Born on January 1, 1950, in Sharon, she was a daughter of Harry Bartholomew, Jr. and Esther J. (Bauer) Bartholomew.
Donna graduated from Mercer High School in 1967. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Edinboro University in 1971 and a master’s degree from Westminster College in 1974.
Donna was an elementary teacher at Mercer Area School District for 37 years, retiring in 2007.
She was a member of Lakeside E.C. Church in Transfer. Donna led ladies Bible study and various children’s ministries and worked in sound room
She enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling with her husband and family to favorite vacation spots such as New York City, Florida, St. Thomas and especially Hawaii.
Donna is survived by her husband, David C. Beckwith, whom she married on July 15, 1989; a daughter, Abby Briski and her husband, Brian, of Castle Shannon; a son, Aaron Outrakis of Cranberry Township; a stepson, Lon Beckwith of Largo, Florida; four brothers, Gary Bartholomew and his wife, Winnie, of Erie, John Bartholomew and his wife, Darlene, of Jefferson Township, David Bartholomew and his wife Mercedes, of Houston, Texas and Brian Bartholomew and his fiancée, Micheal Selva, of Union City, New Jersey and a grandchild, Alahna Outrakis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kenneth Bartholomew and an infant brother, Terry Bartholomew.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 30, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Evangelical Congregational Church, 3203 North Hermitage Road in Transfer, Pennsylvania.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 30 at 11:00 a.m. following visitation at the church.
Burial will be in America’s Cemetery.
