WARREN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) - Donald J. Tate, 41, of Warren, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at his home.
He was born June 14, 1977, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Philip Tate, Sr. and Lois Valerie (Crawley) Shockey.
Donald was a 1995 graduate of Champion High School.
He was employed as a ST&A at Autumn Hills/White Oak Manor.
He was a veteran of the United States Marines and a member of Life Church of Leavittsburg.
He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoyed all sports. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved doing things for others and make them feel special.
Donald is survived by his mother, Lois Valerie (Crawley) Shockey of Warren, Ohio; father, Philip (Willa) Tate, Sr. of California; daughter, Maiya Seminara Tate; son, Jayden Tate; grandmothers, Vivian Kane, Marie Harvey, both of New Jersey and Corella Shockey of Warren, Ohio; his brothers, Philip (Lorie) Tate, Jr. of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, Dorian (Angel) Shockey of Marietta, Georgia, James Tate of California and Winslow Warren of California and sister, Brittany Tate of California.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Victor Shockey and grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. J.P. Tate and James L. Shockey.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9 at Life Church of Leavittsburg, with Pastor Rodney Mullins, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9 at Life Church of Leavittsburg.
