SALEM, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – David Carl Blake, Sr., 64, of Salem, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2021.
He was born May 22, 1956, to the late Robert and Nancy Blake.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Carolyn (Gandee) Blake; children, David(Sara) Blake, Jr., Elizabeth (Travis Black) Blake and Shawna Marie Blake; 14 grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Barringer, Lucyann Blake, Susan Reed, Kim (Sandy) Gandee, Nancy Brooks; sisters-in-law, Chris Blake, Betty Blake, Gloria (James) Rogers and Becky Gandee; brothers-in-law, Kenny(Connie) Gandee, Tim (Peggy) Gandee, Kim (Sandy) Gandee and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Clarence Blake; his in-laws, Irvin (Elizabeth) Gandee; three sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law.
David enjoyed spending time outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping and cooking out.
He was a member of The Home Mission Church and he enjoyed attending and singing during services.
What he valued the most was the previous time he spent with his family including his wife, children and grandchildren. He was the greatest Pap anyone could have.
Visitation will be held at The Home Mission Church, 20836 Oak Street, Alliance, Tuesday, April 27, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon.
A funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon, with Pastor Herb Smith, officiating.
Burial will take place at Quaker Hill Cemetery immediately following.
