ATWATER, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Andy D. Demyan, 81, of Atwater, Ohio, went on to his heavenly home on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Akron General Hospital.

Andy was born on September 17, 1941 in Surosa, West Virginia and was a life-long resident of Atwater, Ohio.

He was a 1960 graduate of Atwater High School and went on to study Electronics and Electrical Engineering in Dallas, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy W. and Enol R. Demyan and a brother Paul S. Demyan.

Andy worked as an electrical engineer for major cutting-edge companies throughout the area. He was co-owner with his son, Dan, of Prism Video, LLC, in Kent, Ohio.

Andy skated most of his life, was a national champion dance skater and ballroom dance champion for a number of years in succession. His legacy would certainly include his generosity in teaching others to skate and dance.

Andy is survived by his son, Dan and Dee; grandsons, Daniel of Lakewood and Adam of Atwater; brother, David and Celeste Demyan of Charlotte, South Carolina; Marge Hazen, family friend and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A “Celebration of Life” Open House, will be held at “The Event on Sunnybrook” at Sunny Hills Golf Course in Brimfield, on Saturday, November 19, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.
