LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Daniel Lee Richter, age 71, of Leavittsburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Washington Square Health Care Center in Warren, Ohio.
He was born on August 15, 1947 in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Jessie James Richter and Madeline (Garretson) Richter.
After high school he served in the U.S. Army and was deployed in Vietnam from 1966-1969.
Dan worked at the former LTV Steel, WCI and then RG Steel as a rigger boss and clerk for over 44 years retiring in 2012.
He has lived in Leavittsburg for the past 11 years moving there from Southington.
Daniel married Deborah Kay Dudley on August 9, 1997 and they enjoyed 21 years of marriage together.
He loved doing yard work, going to car shows, classic cars, bowling, fishing, picnics, golfing, building furniture and most of all he loved his family and his two dogs, Sadie and Bella.
Dan is survived by his wife, Deborah Kay Richter of Leavittsburg; three daughters, Donna Richter-Landa of Newton Falls, Laurie (John) Taylor of Muleshoe, Texas and Stephanie (Dan) Weaver of Sharon, Pennsylvania; one son, John Moon of Leavittsburg, Ohio; one sister, Carol Young of Southington and 13 grandchildren, Kylie, Nate Dogg, Jace, Wacky, Tootle, Kirty Bird, Laci Bug, Lou Lou Bell, Ash, Maddie, Donavyn, Nicole and Billy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, David, Jessie and Harry Richter.
Private services will be held.
Dan will be laid to rest at Newton Falls Cemetery.
