A home going celebration in honor of Mrs. Clara Pride will be held Friday October 26, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. D. Wayne Heard, Pastor will deliver the eulogy.
Mrs. Clara Sewell Pride departed this earthly life on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at her home in Youngstown.
Mrs. Pride was born July 25, 1932 in Elmore, Alabama, a daughter of Cleveland and Beatrice Sewell coming to the Mahoning Valley in 1949.
Mrs. Pride was formerly employed with the 4-H Youth Development Program and the Youngstown City Schools retiring in 2000.
She often dedicated her time to helping those in her community. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Mathew Sewell, Penelope Flagg and Pamela Pride and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William Pride, Jr., whom she married in 1954.
Friends may call Thursday, October 25 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at J.E. Washington Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 26 one hour prior to services at the church from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon.
Interment will be in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
