Catherine Ann (Stano) Bortz, age 88, of Liberty, Ohio entered into eternal, peaceful rest on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.
She was born on November 26, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of the late Frank Stano and Anna (Maskulak) Stano.
Catherine has lived in Niles for the past 31 years formerly of Warren and Newton Falls.
She worked as a harness builder for Packard Electric for 33 years before retiring in 1987.
She was a member of St. Mary & Joseph’s Church Catholic Church in Newton Falls.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Wayne) Ford of Hubbard, Ohio and Connie (Bruce) Ainsley of Newton Falls; sister, Agnes Brown of Euclid; grandchildren, Raymond Hukari of Columbia, Tennessee, Edward Hukari of Warren, Jason and Carrie Brown of Vienna, Ohio, Evelyn Kornbau, Norma Cohol and Wayne Ford, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Erik, Ian and Ella Hukari, Katelyn Munson, Caden, Nolan and Declan Brown and also surviving her is her companion, Marcus Bortz of Vienna.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Mary Brown, Julia Kordic, Anna Vigh, Pauline Salamon, Margaret Stano and Margaret Schmidt and two brothers, Paul Stano and Andrew Duco.
Per Catherine’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland at a later date.
