Winifred Mae Sheldon, 101, of Warren, Ohio, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019, at her home.
She was born October 16, 1917, in Bristolville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Armour R. and Ethel (Davis) Campbell.
Winifred was a graduate of Bristolville High School.
She was employed as a sales clerk at Carlisle’s for many years.
She was the oldest living member of the original Champion Presbyterian Church. Winifred was involved with the ladies aid at the church and sang in the choir. She was also a piano teacher.
She is survived by her sons, LaMarr (Bonnie) Sheldon and Gary Sheldon both of Champion, Ohio; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,Wilbur Sheldon and daughter-in-law, Maxine Sheldon.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at the Champion Presbyterian Church, where Rev. Stephen Stelle will officiate.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, January 29 at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery, Champion, Ohio.
The family requests that material contributions be made to Champion Presbyterian Church, 4997 Mahoning Avenue NW, Warren, OH 44483, in her memory.
