WARREN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Norman “Zack” F. Kubilis, 72, of Warren, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at his home.
He was born March 4, 1947, in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Alexander C. and Helen (Scott) Kubilis.
On July 9, 1966, Norman married the former Diana Bailey. They have shared 52 years of marriage and many wonderful memories.
He was a graduate of Farmington High School.
While Norman was a general supervisor at Delphi Packard Electric he was also the Chief of Police for West Farmington.
Norman was a veteran of the United States Army having served during Vietnam War from October 29, 1965 thru October 28, 1968. He was recognized with the following: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.
He was a member of the NRA and Blue Knights. Norman was an avid hunter, loved riding his Harley Davidson and visiting casinos. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Norman’s memory will be carried on by his wife, Diana Kubilis of Warren, Ohio; sons, Charles A. (Penni) Kubilis of Champion, Ohio and Norman Kubilis II of Albion, Pennsylvania; daughter, JoEllen Weaver of Warren, Ohio; brothers, Alex (Karen) Kubilis of Florida and John (Connie) Kubilis of Florida; grandchildren, Anthony, Taylor, Alex, Ashlee and Zack and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his two sisters.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Cremation has taken place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 N Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio.
