Lois Marie Bolte, 89, of Cortland, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019, at Lake Vista Assisted Living.
She was born June 17, 1929, in Southington, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie (Marek) Motz.
Lois graduated from Chalker High School and spent most of her life as a homemaker.
She lived in many parts of the country and made good friends wherever she went. She loved traveling, playing golf and bridge. In recent years, she enjoyed playing bingo. Time spent with family was important and she enjoyed all her extended family.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara A. (Gary) Eckelberger of Southington, Ohio and Rita (Mark Leiby) Martin of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Charles (LeeAnn) Motz of Southington, Ohio; sister-in-law, Mildred Motz; grandchildren, Melissa (Mark) Branco, Jeffrey Martin, Joshua (Lauren) Kovar and Mark (Tiffiney) Kovar; great-grandchildren, Noah, Kaitlyn, Kayley and Jenna and special caregiver, Stephanie Robinson.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Motz.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Lake Vista Clubhouse, 303 North Mecca Street, Cortland, OH 44410.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 North Park Avenue, Warren, OH 44481.
