SOUTHINGTON, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Kathleen Jean Westenfelder, 65, of Southington, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 8, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
She was born September 21, 1953, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of the late Norman Eugene and Margaret Alice (Gilanyi) Rumple.
On November 18, 1972, Kathleen married Bruce Westenfelder. They have shared 46 years of marriage and many wonderful memories.
Kathleen was a 1971 graduate of Chalker High School.
She was a loving wife and mother, a devout woman of prayer and was very involved with the church. She enjoyed hiking the national parks, growing flowers, reading and spending time with her family; especially her grandbabies.
Kathleen’s memory will be cherished by her husband, Bruce J. Westenfelder of Southington, Ohio; three sons, Bruce Westenfelder, Jr. of Toledo, Ohio, Derrick (LeeAnn) Westenfelder of Southington, Ohio and Timothy (Melinda) Westenfelder of Southington, Ohio; siblings, Jeneen (Paul) Kubala of Edinburg, Ohio, Eugene (Naomi) Rumple of Leavittsburg, Ohio and Noreen Rumple of Lordstown, Ohio; brother-in-law, Keith (Judy) Westenfelder of Lordstown, Ohio; sister-in-law, Marsha (Daniel) Harvey of Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren, Isaac, Ethan, Ava, Erica, Amelia and Harrison and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at the Warren First Church of the Nazarene, where Pastor Brian Westover will officiate.
Friends may call from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019, at the church and again one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday, April 13 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 North Park Avenue, Warren, OH 44481.
A television tribute will air Thursday, April 11 at the following approximate times: 6:41 a.m. WYTV and 8:41 a.m. MyYTV and 9:58 a.m. on FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
