Irene M. Shaver, 89, of Warren, passed away Monday morning, April 1, 2019, at her residence.
She was born May 31, 1929 in Summersville, West Virginia, a daughter of Richard and Elva (Deal) White.
Irene worked cleaning homes for many years and also for the Riverview Motel in Warren.
She married Harry R. Shaver on June 28, 1950. They shared 54 years of marriage and many happy memories together. He preceded her in death July 16, 2004.
Irene enjoyed flowers and going to flea markets and garage sales. One of her favorite things was traveling back home to West Virginia and spending time with her family.
She is survived by six children, Loretta (Bo Summerlin) Weiss of Warren, Wilma (Jeffrey) Barker of Braceville, Harry J. (Patty) Shaver of Newton Falls, Johnny R. Shaver of Pittsburgh, Barbara Gettings of Hubbard and Charles E. (Darlene) Shaver of Leavittsburg. She also leaves behind a brother, Gary (Debbie) White of Akron; a sister, Suzie (Lloyd) Nichols of Wooster; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Irene was preceded in death by her parents, 12 brothers and sisters and a granddaughter, Jennifer Husman.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 North Park Avenue, Warren, with Pastor James Dittmar officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to services from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, at the funeral home.
Irene will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in the Meadow Brook Memorial Park, Warren.
A television tribute will air Wednesday, April 3 at the following approximate times: 12:25 p.m. WKBN, 6:58 p.m. on MyYTV and 10:37 p.m. FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
