Bettie was an amazing cook and everyone always asked for her recipes; especially for her famous “Bettie’s Chicken”.
Bettie was a charter member of St. Christine Church and was active in the Senior Citizens where she was an officer.
Bettie had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed reading, watching the Cleveland Indians, playing cards with her family and friends and was an avid bingo player multiple times a week. She also loved listening to Frank Sinatra music and attended two of his concerts.
Her husband Peter Michael DeFiore whom she married September 17, 1949 at St. Dominic Church passed away February 10, 1998.
She leaves behind to hold onto to her precious memories her daughters, Michelle Kondas of Hillard, Gina (Tom) Muth of Indianapolis, Indiana and Lisa Mottice of Canton; six grandchildren, Annmarie (Devon) Novotney, Kaitlyn (John) Kordalis, John (Emily) Muth, Mitchell (Natalie) Kondas, Megan Lyden and Bryan Mottice; six great-grandchildren, Gwen, Brad, John, Penny, Phillip and Peter and a brother, John (Eleanor) Sciortino of Youngstown along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
