BOARDMAN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Annie Lee Royster, of Boardman, Ohio, formerly of Farrell, passed away at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, Ohio, of natural causes. She was 75.
Annie was born June 23, 1943, in Columbia, Mississippi, a daughter of Homer Powell, Sr. and Eula Mae Abrams Powell.
Annie was a high school graduate and was a dietary cook for Sharon Regional Health System for 25 years.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Sharpsville.
Annie enjoyed reading, walking, dancing, listening to music, decorating and enjoying time with church friends and family.
She is survived by three daughters, Monica Royster Avery of Farrell, Erica and William Crues of Boardman, Ohio and Stephanie Royster of Farrell; two sons, Damon and Brenda Hopson of Cleveland, Ohio and Steve Royster, Jr. of York; three sisters, the Rev. James (Verna) McKeithan of Farrell, Ruby Mclean of Colombia and Charles (Marilyn) Kendrick of Columbia; one brother, Eugene (Dorothy) Powell of New Jersey and 16 grandchildren.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Booker Stephen Royster, to whom she was married for 52 years. He passed away April 6, 2017.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 26, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, North Walnut and High Street in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 26 at 11:30 a.m. following visitation at the church with the Rev. James McKeithan officiating.
