HEMPFIELD TWP., PA (MyValleyTributes) – Annetta R. Zahniser, 91, of 110 Fredonia Road, Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania, formerly of 135 Columbia Avenue, Greenville, passed away at 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at The Grove at Greenville.

She was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania on December 7, 1927 to the late, Ruth (Weikel) Morris.

Annetta attended a one-room schoolhouse in Fredonia.

She spent 17 years working as a dietary aide for The Grove at Greenville, formerly White Cliff Nursing Home.

Annetta was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Greenville.

She was married to Leonard R. Zahniser on November 3, 1951 and he preceded her in death on December 19, 2017.

She enjoyed gardening, attending local concerts, baking and cooking. Annetta and her husband liked going camping and visiting their cabin in the village of Green Oaks. She had an upbeat, caring soul who loved and adored every moment she had with her grandchildren.

Annetta is survived by a daughter, Melody J. Hoffman and her husband, Wesley, of Greenville, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Nathan Zahniser and his companion, Christianna Logsdon, of Greenville, Pennsylvania, Jeanetta Hoffman of Verona, Pennsylvania and Greg Hoffman of Clymer, Pennsylvania; six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Alaynna, Katryna, Kaydance, Jaykob and Alyssabeth and niece, Andrea Kelly and her husband, Dan, of Farrell, Pennsylvania.

In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gayla J. Zahniser and sister, Charlotte Vanderslice.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Osborne-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 73-75 Columbia Avenue, Greenville.

A funeral service with committal prayers will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, with Rev. Paul O. Mitchell, visitation pastor, of Calvary United Methodist Church in Greenville, officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m.

A private burial will be held at Hadley Cemetery, Hadley, Pennsylvania.
