YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) - A funeral service will be held Friday, February 15, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at the Phillips Memorial Baptist Church for Anna Mae Dawson (Greene), 94, of Youngstown, who passed away at her home Saturday, February 9, 2019.
Mrs. Dawson was born May 9, 1924 in Campbell, Ohio to the late Newton Greene and Lula Williams.
Anna Mae was a homemaker and cleaned houses.
She was a member of Phillips Memorial Baptist Church.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother and was loved by everyone she came in contact with. She also cared for and nutured many.
Anna Mae married Louis Dawson in 1945 and was married until his death August 12, 1973.
She leaves to cherish her memories and rejoice in her peace, two daughters, Patricia Dawson and Rochelle Dawson of Youngstown; a son, Darrell Dawson of Youngstown; a brother, Robert Greene; two sisters, Elozabeth Ward of Youngstown and Shirley (Andrew) Williams of Columbus, Ohio; 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Anna Mae was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Dawson; two daughters, Marva Snipes and Gloria Jean Rogers; Charles Dawson; three sisters, Mabel Greene, Leola Steward and Gloria Bankston; five brothers, Phillip, Floyd, James, Thomas and Chester Greene and one great-grandson, Eric L. Lott, Jr.
Family and friends may visit Friday, February 15, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon prior to services at the Phillips Memorial Baptist Church, 1407 Victor Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio 44505.
