Alvin Stanley Cake, 97, of Green Township, Salem, died at 5:56 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019, at home.
He was born on September 21, 1929, in Camden, New Jersey, the son of the late George B. and Ella May (Orens) Cake.
He was a sergeant In the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was retired from Hill Refrigeration in Trenton, New Jersey.
He moved to this area about four years ago.
He was a member of the Jacob’s Church in Hesston, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his children, Susan Diane (Robert) Gill and Sandra Darlene Baker; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Services and burial were held in Huntington, Pennsylvania.
The burial was in the church yard cemetery.
