WEST SALEM TOWNSHIP, PA (MyValleyTributes) – Alice I. King, age 95, of 339 E. Jamestown Road, West Salem Township, passed away Monday evening, April 15, 2019 in St. Paul’s Continuing Care Community.

She was born in Putneyville, Pennsylvania on October, 23, 1923 to William O. and Bertha Alice (Reedy) Kammerdiener.

She had attended Rimersburg High School and had been employed for nine years as a tax preparer for H&R Block.

Alice was a member of Greenville Alliance Church, where she had served as a greeter and was a past volunteer at the Good Shepherd Center and UPMC Horizon Greenville.

On May 18, 1940 she married Mark King, he passed away on December 25, 1984.

Alice is survived by a daughter, Patricia Krause and her husband, Craig, of Nashville, Tennessee; two sons, William O. King and his wife, Margaret, of Greenville and Mark W. King and his wife, Janet, of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Clara Shephard, Edith Lorigan and Nora Ball and five brothers, Donald Kammerdiener, Darrell Kammerdiener, Guy Kammerdiener, Ralph Kammerdiener and Oscar Kammerdiener.

Calling hours will be Thursday, April 18, 2019, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main Street, Greenville, Pennsylvania.

Funeral service will be held Friday, April 19, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, Rev. Jerry Hunter, officiating Associate Pastor of Greenville Alliance Church.

Burial will be in Stevenson Cemetery Memorial.

Contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Center, 10 N. Water Street, Greenville, PA 16125 or to Southern Care Hospice, 1245 Park Avenue, Meadville, PA 16335.

A television tribute will air Thursday, April 18 at the following approximate times: 6:41 a.m. WYTV and 8:41 a.m. MyYTV and 9:58 a.m. on FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
