Why I should be elected
Because of my leadership and administrative experience, I feel I am the most qualified candidate with over 36 years of law enforcement. In those years, I have served as a police officer and Chief of Police in Sharpsville, Pa. Upon retirement I served as a county detective with the Mercer County District Attorney’s office, and am currently in my 13th year as a deputy sheriff with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office. I served 4 years with the United States Marine Corps, being honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
Top three priorities
1) Safety – the safety of the citizens should be the priority of any government. I look forward to working with county commissioners and officials in bringing effective security to the Mercer County courthouse, the magisterial district courts, and other county agencies.
2) Service – one of the primary responsibilities of the Sheriff’s Office is to provide professional and quality service to the common pleas courts and judicial system of Mercer County. This includes, but is not limited to courthouse security, prisoner transports, warrant service, civil process, and the issuance of license to carry firearms. As Sheriff I will make it my priority to provide these services with professional, well trained and equipped deputies and administrative staff.
3) Assistance – as Sheriff my goal will be to ensure the Sheriff’s office will be readily available to assist federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in their pursuit of keeping the people of Mercer County safe.
