Benjamin Kyle gets Democratic nomination for Hubbard mayor

HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) – Benjamin Kyle won the Democratic nomination for Hubbard mayor.

He defeated Timothy O’Hara with nearly 68% of the votes, according to unofficial results.

Kyle has been involved in city government since 2013, including serving as councilman at large.

The lifelong Hubbard resident’s top three priorities are families, development and education.

Current Mayor John Darko’s term expires at the end of this year. He said he would not seek reelection.

The four-year term begins in 2020.
