WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – There’s a lot of history inside the Kinsman House in Warren.

Sunday it opened its doors for the public to come check it out.

While the open house was going on, a teenage boy from Champion decided to help out with projects inside the house.

Noah Monahan is working on becoming an Eagle Scout. Today he worked on the entrance way of the house. He helped paint the walls and replace the chandelier. The 17-year-old says he has no experience doing work like this but had some good help.

“A lot of my scout masters who I am very appreciative of are very knowledgeable in carpentry and other trade skills like that so it is very nice that they can help me out like this”, said Monahan.

Michael Zavor was at the open house too, and he brought a special donation–27 books. He says when he opened the first volume, he noticed the name plate was Mister Kinsman.

The Kinsman House is located at 303 Mahoning Avenue in Warren.
