Oktoberfest 2020 canceled
Cedar Point’s Tricks and Treats Fall Fest
Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 12 through Nov. 1
With current COVID-19 safety protocols in place, this outdoor street festival offers new and engaging ways to celebrate the season with Halloween decor, live entertainment, fall food and drink tasting, and Cedar Point’s world-famous rides and roller coasters. Guests can try foods like Vampire Chili Dogs and pumpkin spice funnel cakes, as well as craft beer and specialty drinks like Hocus Pocus Punch and Jack-o-Lantern Juice. There will be plenty of fun for the whole family with Monster Makeovers, trick-or-treat candy stations, crafts and games.
Cedar Point expects its traditional event HalloWeekends, including the Great Pumpkin Fest and Haunt, to return next year.

Coolspring Corn Maze

Hayrides to pick your own pumpkin at the patch. Hayrides $6 per person, ages 2 and under ride free. Cost includes a 15-minute hayride to the pumpkin patch, a four-acre corn maze and petting zoo. Pumpkins are weighed and purchased by the pound for 40 cents a pound once you return from the patch. Apples, cider, cornstalks and various other farm-grown decorations for sale. East Palestine Halloween parade
The parade will begin at 7:30 p.m., leaving the Methodist Church parking lot next to McDonald’s. Party to follow at the Moose Lodge. Safety and Security provided by the Ease Palestine police and fire departments. The event is sponsored by the East Palestine Kiwanis Club. Please follow social distancing and mask guidelines.

Explore kindness throughout the month of October.
- Eastwood Mall Pumpkin Patch: Pop into the pumpkin patch for some great photo ops! Once there, you’ll find Blue — a small pumpkin in a very large pumpkin patch. Blue has a small split in his stem that is noticeable and makes him very self-conscious. Blue’s mom knows that what makes him different can also make him special, and she tries to encourage Blue not to worry about the split! Take a selfie with Blue the Pumpkin and show our friends at the customer service center to win a prize while supplies last!
- Captain McFinn Kindness Banner and Pledge: Sign your name in support of Kindness Month. Bubbles to sign your name can be found at the customer service center. The annual Captain McFinn Kindness Banner will be on display on the food court wall all month long.
- Random Acts of Kindness Worksheet: Pick up worksheets and stickers at the customer service center while supplies last. Children will complete “Random Acts of Kindness” and parents will check off tasks when completed.
- Kindness Rocks: Look closely. Can you find a Kindness Rock anywhere in the mall? If you do, bring it to the customer service center for a surprise while supplies last. One rock per customer per day, please.

Saturday, October 31 from 5 – 9 p.m. at Pymatuning Rentals, 1 Gibson St., Jamestown, Pa.
Reservations must be prepaid by Oct. 16.
The 6 p.m. launch on the two-mile trip will take approximately an hour-and-a-half. Along the way, you will encounter Clown Town, Hannibal Lecter’s Kitchen, the Baby Doll Factory, Zombie Camp and the Unforgettable Cemetery. The Upper Shenango Water Trail Spirits Rise. Bonfire to follow on the riverbank at the shop.
October 31 will be the grand finale night for adults only. There will be a costume contest and BYOB party. The event is limited.
The haunted house on Warren-Sharon Road in Vienna is canceled for the 2020 season. The Happy Valley Cemetery portion will be up as usual during the month of October for viewing. Actors will be in the cemetery Oct. 30 and 31 from 6 – 9 p.m. Visit the event’s Facebook page for updates.
Halloween Night Hike

Test your senses as we adjust to walking in the dark. Learn about creatures of the night as well as Pymatuning myths and legends. Face masks required. Space is limited. Registration required. Haunted Hollywood Musical Workshop
Maureen Collins will be hosting Easy Street’s wackiest online workshop yet, taking her classes on a virtual tour INSIDE some of Hollywood’s spookiest films! With the use of animated backgrounds, these fun-filled, age-appropriate classes will travel via time machine through old movies and spooky locations learning Halloween’s greatest hit songs and dances! She will also and assign fun weekly projects like carving pumpkins, applying creepy make-up and creating a costume! This Halloween is sure to be a THRILLER with songs from The Wizard of Oz, Scooby Doo, Ghostbusters, Little Shop of Horrors, Beetlejuice, Hocus Pocus, Young Frankenstein, Rocky Horror and The Nightmare Before Christmas just to name a few!

Salem Thanksgiving Day Dinner
Scrappers’ Halloween Drive Thru
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers will be hosting a Halloween Drive-Thru in Eastwood Field’s parking lot from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, with proceeds going to Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.
Cars can drive through a route of decorated vendor displays in the Eastwood Field parking lot and each car (up to 4 kids per car) will receive prepackaged Trick or Treat bags at the end of the route. Cars must purchase a $10 “hangtag” ticket in advance to attend. Hangtags must be purchased online only at www.mvscrappers.com, and they will be mailed out prior to the event.
Each Trick or Treat bag will include a ticket voucher to a 2021 Scrappers game. There will be no in-person or day of event hangtag sales. Cars are limited to the first 250!
The Eastwood Field parking lot will open at 5 p.m.

A fun, safe place for local families to trick-or-treat drive-thru style. Guests will also enjoy appearances from their favorite superheroes and princesses, who will be handing out candy and treats. Families are to remain in their cars to ensure social distancing. The event is free, but reservations are required. You can get tickets online — one ticket per car.
