If you are going to the Canfield Fair, you can learn how to shoot a bow and arrow from an expert.
The Ohio Division of Wildlife has a booth set up in the Hay and Grain building, where it has archery lessons. There is a licensed instructor who will show you the ropes for free.
“You’ll learn the proper ways to load an arrow, to draw the arrow back and release the arrow, and how to do it safely,” said Dan Wright, of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. “So, here at the Division of Wildlife, we are promoting shooting sports, and we want to make sure it’s done in a safe way.”
So far, nearly 3,000 people have visited the range.
