Samone Blair joined the WKBN First News Team in 2020 as a Multi-Media Journalist and Investigative Reporter.
Originally from Columbus, Indiana, Samone feels fortunate to have lived across the country and is excited to add the Mahoning Valley to her list. Samone graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Princeton University and later went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Video Journalism at Northwestern.
Prior to joining WKBN, Samone worked as a researcher for the Hearst TV National Investigative Unit and freelanced for The New York Times. Before pursuing a career in journalism, she worked for the software company Qualtrics.
In her spare time, Samone enjoys arranging choral music. She also loves cycling, yoga, and spending time with family and her dog, Bentley.
